Audrey received her B.A. in Anthropology at West Virginia University in 2024 with minors in Forensic Science and Criminology. She received her osteological training through the Center for American Archeology and participated in the West Virginia University Research Apprenticeship program during undergrad. Her research interests include forensic anthropology, human osteology, and osteological Identification of armed service members.

Madeline Ballinger

Madeline Ballinger received her B.A. in Anthropology at Southern Illinois University Carbondale in 2022. During undergrad she worked at the Center for Archaeological Investigations in Carbondale, IL and the Social Cognitive Development Lab at Southern Illinois University. Her research interests include commingled and fragmentary skeletal assemblages, Mediterranean archaeology, nonadult osteology, forensic anthropology, and linguistic anthropology.

Lydia Bailey

Lydia Bailey received her B.A. in Anthropology with minors in Museum Studies and Religious Studies from the University of Pittsburgh in 2022. During her year off between her undergraduate and graduate school, Lydia worked as a historic interpreter and an archaeological technician in her home state of New Jersey. She has had internships at the University of Pittsburgh Art Gallery, Cleveland Museum of Natural History, and Mississippi Department of Archives and History. Her research interests include childhood health, skeletal stress markers, nutritional deficiencies, comorbid conditions, and syndemics.

Jessie Aviles-Saleh

Jessie grew up in New York City in a Middle Eastern/ Latinx household, and she received her B.S. in Biological Anthropology with an interdisciplinary study in biology and chemistry in 2018 and B.A. in Anthropology in 2022 from CUNY-Lehman College. Her research focus includes forensic anthropology, human osteology, analysis of skeletal trauma particularly regarding cases of human rights violations, and bioarcheology. 

Laura Allen

Laura Allen is from Riverhead, New York and graduated in 2024 from the University of New Hampshire with bachelor’s degrees in Anthropology and Earth Science. Her subfield of choice is bioarchaeology. Laura is interested in bioarchaeology of the Near East, historical bioarchaeology, dental anthropology, diet, and isotopic analysis.

Hannah Willis

Hannah earned her B.A. in Anthropology with a psychology minor from the University of South Carolina and graduated with Honors from the Distinguished Undergraduate Research Track and the South Carolina Honors College in Spring 2021. Her research interests include bioarchaeology, deviant burials, and comorbidities. She is currently studying under Dr. Molly Zuckerman.

Kerri Widrick

Kerri graduated from the State University of New York at New Paltz with a B.A. in Anthropology and minors in History and Evolutionary Studies. She has experience working in archaeological contexts through her involvement as a research assistant on the Phaleron Bioarchaeological Project at the American School of Classical Studies at Athens. She has also worked as an instructor for the Center for American Archeology’s Advanced Bioarchaeology and Human Osteology Laboratory Program. Her research interests include osteology, social bioarchaeology, and structural violence.

Austin Stranahan

Austin graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 2021 with a B.S. in History with minors in Anthropology and Religious Studies. Austin’s research interests are paleobotany in the Near East. Specifically, how botanical remains reconstruct hierarchal systems during the Bronze Age in Syria/Palestine. Austin is also interested in reconstructing a historical environment using the Old Testament to understand the dietary practices of Israelites in the Levant during the rise of Israelite civilization.
