Cassidy Rayburn is originally from Rome, Georgia. She obtained her BS in Anthropology at the University of West Georgia with a minor in History. Her first field school was with the UWG anthropology department in Barnwell, SC at the Swag South site. Her research interests include the peopling of the North Americas, prehistoric trade routes, and most recently remote sensing, African American cemeteries, and cultural landscapes. These are a few of her many interests, and hopes to add more to her list during her time at Mississippi State.
