William graduated from the College of Charleston in 2015.  As an undergrad, he was an archaeology intern at Charles Towne Landing State Park (38CH1) and participated in excavations at the Aiken-Rhett House for the Archaeological Research Collective.  After graduating, he worked for the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources, doing fieldwork at the Johannes Kolb site (38DA75), and assisted in lab duties during the Archival Flood Recovery Project.  After working with SCDNR, he was hired as a field technician by the Archaeological Consultants of the Carolinas, and gained experience in cultural resource management as he did surveys in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia.  He entered the graduate program at Mississippi State in 2017 and his advisor is Dr. Shane Miller.  His current research interests are based in lithic analysis using geometric morphometrics.
