Karen Williams to speak at MSU Interdisciplinary Forum

This Friday marks the first meeting of the Interdisciplinary Forum.  Dr. Robert Harland of the Department of Classical & Modern Languages and Literatures will present from his paper “Catalonia: Nationalism as a Performance,” and Karen Williams of the Department of Anthropology and Middle Eastern Cultures will present from her paper, “The ‘Everydayness’ in the Reentry Classroom: Making Ethically Sensitive Citizens.”  Both papers are available at

for advanced reading and consideration.  Following brief presentations from Robert and Karen, we’ll enjoy a lively and friendly interdisciplinary discussion.  This event is free and open to the public.  It is a great opportunity to see what people in other departments are working on and how scholars from different disciplines ask and answer questions.
