Internationally acclaimed archaeologist Dr. George Bey of Millsaps College will be giving a free public talk, “2000 Years of Maya Civilization: Recent Research in Northern Yucatan” as part of MSU’s celebration of Archaeology Month. Dr. Bey has worked and taught in northern Yucatan since 1984, co-directing the Bolonchen Regional Archaeological Project, and is one of the founders of the non-profit Kaxil Kiuic A.C., which focuses on biocultural preservation of Mexican wilderness areas.
