Bioarchaeology

Brittany graduated from George Mason University in 2013 with a B.A. in History and minors in English and Anthropology. As an undergrad, she spent two years working as an archaeology intern at George Washington’s Mount Vernon. Her research interests hinge upon mortuary archaeology, specifically the manner in which cultural traditions, religious values, and individual identities manifest in the burial record. Her M.A. thesis applies this perspective to a historic cemetery in Frederiksted, St. Croix.
